Today, head lice have not changed and neither have their remedies either. They are extremely expensive and are now advertised on television by some happy children who have a music group. But to do away with them is a lot simpler and cheaper than you might imagine.
Eradicate head lice at home without spending a fortune
The first step is to identify that you have lice. It’s nothing complicated, but you have to be sure before starting with the treatment.
How do I know that I have lice?
The most common signs are itching in the scalp, but if you’re a little squeamish, you will be itching right now and don’t have a louse. Whether the itching would add a significant appearance of dandruff, never seen until then, you already have all the evidence you need. You have head lice.
What do I need to do to get rid of head lice?
What you’ll have to buy, is a brush for lice. The rest of the ingredients you have at home. Mouthwash, white vinegar, and a shower cap. It is good to also have a towel at hand, but it is not mandatory.
How to get rid of the lice?
1 – Clean
You should wash your hair with the mouthwash and cover it with the shower cap. Despite looking like a crazy person, it is absolutely necessary. Lice hate the strong smell of the mouth rinse so they will try to get away from it. Let the cap stay on for an hour.
2 – Rinse
Now you have to rinse your hair with white vinegar. Quite crazy as it may seem, the vinegar will remove all the eggs (the famous nits) that are left in your hair.
3 – Normal
Once you’ve soaked in the vinegar for another hour, you then wash your hair as normal, with the products you usually use. Before drying your hair, you must brush it a couple of times with the comb, to say goodbye to head lice.
This method is foolproof and you will not have to cut a lock of your hair.
