Women tend to experience diseases that are quite deceptive as they have symptoms that are difficult to distinguish from the feelings they get just before their period. However, when you learn to recognize certain signs of concern, you can go to the doctor and get a solution. Learn this information about the symptoms so that you can discover if it is something serious.
7 Symptoms of quite dangerous diseases that we tend to ignore
1 – Unexplained Weight Loss
Losing weight unexpectedly in a short period of time can be a symptom of diabetes, cancer or Crohn’s disease. Whatever it is, it means that something is wrong. If you’ve lost 4-7 pounds in the past 6-12 months and you have not changed anything in terms of exercise or in your diet, go to a doctor.
2 – Bleeding after menopause
There are occasions in which women notice blood after menopause. This could be a sign of uterine cancer, fibroid or cervicitis. Women who take hormone replacement therapy may experience similar bleeding during the two years after. In other cases, you should consult with a doctor.
3 – Heavy Periods
It may be due to simple things like the weather, a kind of inheritance, or practise too much sport and to things more complex such as a fibroid or a thyroid dysfunction. In either case, you should consult a doctor since that could provoke anemia. If the period lasts more than 7 days and has a bright red color, go to a specialist.
4 – Abnormal Secretions
This can be a symptom of some inflammatory process or infection. You should consult with a doctor as soon as you notice that something goes wrong. The discharge should not be green or have an unpleasant odor
5 – Increased urination
It is normal to think that this is a problem for kidneys or the urinary tract. However, it could indicate a hormonal imbalance, a problem with the vaginal microflora and even a problem of diabetes. The normal thing is to go to the bathroom to urinate 4 to 10 times per day. If you’re going more often, see a doctor.
6 – Hair where you shouldn’t have it
Excess body hair means that you have too many male hormones in the body, which can cause infertility, metabolic disorders and an increase in the risk of heart disease, endometrial and breast cancer. Remember that women have hair by nature, and some have excessive hair. IBut if it seems abnormal, go to an endocrinologist.
7 – Changes in the chest
The first signs of breast cancer may be difficult to detect because when you feel pain, it may be too late. You should already know signs to look for that can help detect it at an early stage. Palpate breasts if you notice a lump, see if the skin becomes red or wrinkled… The breast pain in some occasions, as before menstruation, tends to be quite normal and should not cause worry.
These are symptoms that we can consider normal, but that could tell us that our health is in danger. Pay attention to the signals your body sends you and see a doctor if you see it necessary.
