It is a law of life, as we grow older, our body ages with us. All our functions are decreasing, we are losing memory, hearing, sight, and even our metabolism slows down. To this we can not do anything, only try to delay as much as possible the arrival of that moment.

What many do not know is that in the metabolic process, aging begins much earlier than expected. In fact, according to research conducted by the National Academy of Sciences of New Zealand, at the age of 26, your metabolism will begin to slow down gradually. On the other hand, Jaime Miquel, professor of Human Physiology and former director of the Laboratory of Aging of  NASA, posits that this process does not begin until age 30 years.

If you have already reached that age, you probably have noticed that in the past 10 years your body has taken a big change internally. Surely you don’t have as much desire to go out partying like you did in your 20’s and probably daily tasks have started to feel more taxing. As hard as it may seem, all of this is due to the aging process that you are suffering.

These signs also indicate that you are getting older are:

  • Weight gain and difficulty to lose it
  • Alterations in sleep
  • Memory leaks spot
  • Hormonal changes
  • Pain in the joints

This is because, as the years go by, our body stops generating natural antioxidants and, in addition, the cell regeneration is becoming less and less. We’re not in the stage of growth but decline.

Our system is prepared to live up to a certain age, no more, thankfully, however, there are certain ways of slowing the aging process. Having a balanced diet and staying active physically is essential to achieve this.

It is therefore important that you avoid the processed foods and added sugars and you focus on eating whole foods and healthy fats. Drink at least a liter and a half of water per day to keep hydrated and do at least 3 hours of physical exercise a week.
