For those of you who dream of living by the water, this small house could exceed all of your expectations.
Designed by Harbor Cottage Houseboats in Somerset, Kentucky, this little houseboat is a little over 122 square feet, but manages to have two porches, two rooms and can accommodate up to six people.
The co-owner of the studio, Jimmy Hamilton, said during an interview with CountryLiving.com: “What I’m trying to do is get a small apartment but that would meet the needs of the people who really want to live in it.”
The open kitchen is equipped with an island, and the necessary comforts for the home, such as a kitchen with stove, microwave, double door refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer, which means that the chef will not sacrifice anything. In addition, the countertops and the drawers can be customized to fit your personal style.
The master bedroom includes a king-size bed, where guests can feel at home, and also features a cabin below. The bathroom really makes the owners not feel that they live in a floating house with a bath and a mirror of great size.
With two porches and a terrace, this small floating house of 122 square meters is enough space for all of your needs. Jimmy says that it can be used for full-time living or as a holiday apartment.
With the feeling of beachfront living, without the high costs of coastal land, Jimmy believes that the prices of these small floating houses make life or holidays in places like Seattle or the Florida Keys much more accessible. The cost of the small floating house is $99,000.
