How a stroke occurs?

A stroke occurs when the blood flow to a part of the brain stops, or when a blood vessel in the brain bursts.

When that happens, the brain cells are deprived of oxygen and begin to die. It is then that the abilities controlled by that area of the brain, such as memory and muscle control, are lost.

While many people recover completely after a stroke, almost two-thirds of the survivors suffer from some degree of disability. This means that, if the person who suffers does not die, it has many chances of getting with some type of disability.
