Goodbye to Avicii
His representative has given a brief statement this afternoon, 20th of April in where not much details were revealed, other than the place where he died: “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling also known as Avicii”. His representative Diana Baron said in a statement.
“He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to respect their need for privacy at this difficult time. No further statements will be given”. This is undoubtedly a big shock to the fans of the DJ Avicii. Avicii announced his retirement from touring in March 2016, in an emotional letter, because of accumulated fatigue. But before his retirement, he was one of the DJs best paid in the world… earning $28 million in 2014, according to Forbes. Apparently, the Swedish Producer had not recovered from his health issues. He had undergone an operation for appendicitis and had other health problems, as a year prior to this date, he had already canceled some of his activities.
The music world says goodbye to him
Avicii was, without a doubt, a successful international and artiste. With his hits – Levels, Hey Brother or Wake Me Up! His music was ubiquitous on dance floors around the world and was number one in much of the world. The disc that launched him to international fame was True, a job in 2013 where he experienced his stage business by adding other styles such as country style.
His colleagues in the profession, with whom he recorded numerous hits, have been paying their respects to him on social media. DJs such as David Guetta, Martin Garrix, and Nicky Romero have expressed their grief on Instagram and said that they will remember him always. “I Could be the one,” was the international success that he launched with Nicky Romero, a track that has played at festivals around the planet. Many of his fans still do not believe the news. His last Instagram post was 2 weeks ago when he was in California. He had a house in Hollywood Hills.
When Avicii resigned from touring he said:
“A part of me says never say never, I could get back… but it won’t be right away”
Oh… and now it will never be…
